Savannah's Story

Savannah Budduth, or “Bam'' as her students call her, is from Vernon, Alabama. Upon graduation from Lamar County High School, Savannah attended Jacksonville State University on an athletic scholarship, playing four years under Coach Jana McGinnis and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

During her freshman year at JSU, Savannah began instruction, working with students throughout her college career. During this time, Savannah fell in love with the athletic development side of softball training, joining the GRIT Team after graduating from JSU. Savannah specializes in slapping, hitting, middle infield, outfield, and speed & agility. Savannah was a .300 and above hitter that was competitive every at-bat. She was a constant threat on the bases with 30+ stolen bases in her career. Not only was Savannah a hitter, she was also an outstanding defender. She completed her career with a .952 fielding percentage.

When she’s not at the facility, Savannah loves being outdoors, exploring hole-in-the-wall places, cuddling her wiener dog Sunny, and hanging out with her nephew Korbin.
